Today was an exciting day in Mrs. Morse's class! We have been waiting for the delivery of our chick eggs and have had our calendar marked in anticipation. While our eggs were resting and getting warm in the incubator, one of my little fellas decided he was going to read a book to the chicks.
*Be still my beating heart, he is a doll!* And the best part, he even showed them the pictures through the window on the top! First graders really are the best!

More 100th Day
We are enjoying our week of "100th Day" fun! Yes, we turned one day into a whole week! :) My dear teacher friend shared a super fun activity that the kids and I had so much fun with today! Thanks, JB!
" I wish I had 100 ice cream cones! I wish I had 100 pairs of clothes! I wish I had 100 days of vacation! But I'd never want 100 spiders!"
It was fun to see what the kids came up with. Some wanted 100 teachers! How cute!

100th Day, HOORAY!
The 100th day of school is a BIG DEAL in first grade! In fact, we started our countdown 100 days ago! Each morning of school we added a straw to the ones place, soon to be the tens place, and today we turned it into a three digit number! 100! We also turned all of those coins we have been adding up into a dollar bill!
This book was great! We read a poem each day!
AND, best yet! Today we all dressed like we were 100! The kids were so cute! (Although, I have never seen old people move so fast/ so much in my LIFE!) And here is a picture of the greatest and *most fun* team a girl could ask for:
I love these ol' ladies! And, believe it or not, they are all so pretty! ;)
